HIGHLAND PARK PROJECT - RESTORING LIGHT TO A CITY ONCE LEFT IN THE DARK

RCI  partnered with Soulardarity and Mark Ruffalo's Solutions Project to help restore light to a city that was once left in the dark, Highland Park, MI.  The project  provided brighter and safer lights to the community, and as a result the city continues to save money due to RCi and Soulardarity's collaborative efforts. Reference: FOX2NEWS

AFRICAN WORLD FESTIVAL SOLAR PHONE CHARGING STATION

RCI customized a solar charge stations for the Charles H. Wright Museum.  Ryter Cooperative Industries designed, developed and engineered a product that provided accessible power to all mobile devices for the African World Festival - 2016.  Throughout this project, RCI provided the resources to keep individuals plugged, connected and fully charged.

PROJECT "GO GREEN TEAM" OF WEST SIDE ACADEMY DETROIT PUBLIC SCHOOL 

Motivating and inspiring the youth is important to RCI.  The West Side Academy High School students received a brief speech and demonstration of the importance of renewable energy and why it is important to understand and acknowledge it's multifaceted purpose.

 

By educating our youth, Detroit Public School students have the necessary tools to rediscover what renewable energy is and how to apply it to their everyday lives. Within the class, students had the ability to have hands-on experience and gain a first hand idea of the interworking of solar power, in real time.

DIRUL ENERGY STATION - DETROIT'S FIRST OFF-GRID ENERGY STATION FOR URBAN AGRICULTURE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH DTE ENERGY

RCI leads the implementation of a Detroit's first fully off grid solar power generation plant at the D-Town Farm at River Rogue Park in Detroit. In an effort to electrify the 7.5 acre grounds at the project site, RCI has designed and created a unique approach to the design. Our team has provided an alternative energy explication for off-grid power of lightings, equipment, and device charging. Our team designed power system sizing based on existing availability resources, optimal battery technologies, and desired usage. RCI has determined costs, savings and payback periods for alternative energy technologies suggested for implementation.

OAKLAND UNIVERSITY PROJECT -

ROCHESTERS HILLS NET-ZERO ENERGY HOME

In work with the Oakland University School of Engineering and Alternative Energies, RCI researched and designed an energy conservation and alternative energy model to achieve a goal of zero-net-energy usage for a home built in Rochester, Michigan. In working with the university our team RCI used collected data to baseline energy usage from several years of natural gas, and electric energy usage. In this comprehensive study, calculated values taking into account losses from the walls, windows, basement, water & mass exchanges to determine the major modes of energy loss and thermal characteristics for the home. This analysis estimated savings and payback periods for each alternative energy method suggested to be employed. Final zero-net-energy configuration based on optimal savings, costs, and paybacks.

HIGHLAND PARKS FIRST SOLAR POWERED LAWN MOWER WITH SOULARDARITY

Ryter Cooperative Industries designed and constructed a portable AC solar generator to couple with an electric lawnmower project designed to change the paradigm of energy usage for home and community lawn maintenance purposes by reducing greenhouse gas emissions resultant from gasoline lawn mowers by being completely powered by solar energy. In an effort to execute efficient productivity, RCI collected a team of professionals, developed costs, acquired materials and fabricated the final design within a 7 day delivery time period. Sponsored by Soulardarity who is known for pioneering the cooperatively owned Highland Park Street Lighting Initiative, this project delivery strengthened relationships with renewable energy project groups like Soulardarity along with other nationwide as well as the further fostering further relationships with the Mayor of Highland Park and its residence for future RCI products and projects to be created in the future.
